Princess Cruises reports ‘unprecedented’ demand for ex-UK cruises

Princess Cruises reports 'unprecedented' demand for ex-UK cruises on Enchanted Princess

Princess Cruises has said it has seen “unprecedented demand” for Enchanted Princess’ new 2022 ex-UK season, with voyages going on sale morning (23 March) at 8am.

The cruise line revealed earlier this month that Enchanted Princess will be based in Southampton for this year’s UK summer season.

Starting from 4 May 2022, the 3,660-guest ship will offer 13 new voyages ranging from four to 14 nights.

New itineraries include short cruises and longer voyages to the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Norway, and Iceland.

Demand ‘exceeds’ Princess Cruises’ expectations

Outgoing Princess Cruises UK and Europe vice-president Tony Roberts said: “Since the new voyages for Enchanted Princess went on sale this morning, demand has exceeded expectations.

“Trading in the first four hours has been even stronger than for our seacations launch this time last year, which was one of our strongest trading days in history for the UK market.

“Our phone lines and agent chat has been full this morning and our travel agent partners are reporting a significant uptick in bookings, with many guests having registered interest before the new cruises went on sale.

“This illustrates that there is still a strong demand from guests for a cruise holiday from Southampton with Princess, and it’s fantastic to see that guests are excited as we are to have our new ship Enchanted Princess sailing from the UK this summer.”

Enchanted Princess – the fifth Royal-class ship in the Princess fleet – was officially named in December 2021.
