Princess Cruises: ‘Getting travel agents on our ships is vital’

Princess Cruises, Nick Hughes, joins Scenic Group

Princess Cruises UK & Europe sales director Nick Hughes discusses what travel agents can expect on ship visits and fam trips.

This year, our trade engagement plans have been bigger and better than ever before.

Increased ship visits, fam trips and agent events are all made possible due to an expanded sales team and we have been working hard to ensure we are engaging with and supporting existing and new agent partners so they can confidently sell Princess.

We understand the vital importance of getting agents on our ships so they can experience the Princess product first-hand.

In 2023 we’ll have more than 2,000 agents on board through ship visits and fam trips.

Princess Cruises boosting brand education

Our ship visits aim to provide agents with an educational visit intertwined with the opportunity to experience what it would be like to cruise with Princess.

Think a cocktail on top deck, free time to relax and a three-course lunch on board.

As such, our ship visits to date have scored an incredible recommendation rating of 4.98 out of 5, with 100 per cent of agents stating the ship visits met or exceeded their expectations.

Feedback has shown us that agents love what we are doing and always sell Princess more confidently to their customers afterwards – and more importantly they understand the premium offering that allows us to differentiate ourselves in the market.
