Princess Cruises expands entertainment options for Sky Princess

Princess Cruises agent incentive

Princess Cruises has expanded its entertainment options on Sky Princess.

The ship – sailing rom Southampton this season – will now feature live-streamed sporting events, interactive audience games and additional theatre productions.

Wimbledon, the football Champions League Final and the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be broadcast live, with guests able to watch on large screens in the ship’s public areas, as well as on the top-deck Movies Under the Stars screen.

An interactive game based on the TV show Deal or No Deal will also be hosted in the Princess Theatre, offering guests the chance to win prizes, including a free cruise.

In addition, Sky Princess will offer a range of production shows including 5-Skies,  Spotlight Bar, a musical “extravaganza showcasing some of the biggest hits of all time”, and Jim Henson’s Inspired Silliness, a family friendly show with some of the puppeteer’s most well-known characters.

Princess Cruises ‘thrilled’ with new entertainment

Princess will also mark this year’s Eurovision song contest, being held on 13 May in Liverpool, by hosting live screenings of the final across the ship – and on all vessels in the fleet – on its top-deck cinema screen.

Live entertainment will be provided by Andy Abraham, the singer who previously represented the UK at Eurovision and was runner-up in the second series of TV talent show The X Factor in 2005.

The line’s seven-night Scandinavia Comedy Stars voyage, departing 1 July 2023 on Sky Princess, will also feature a range of celebrity comedians – Ed Byrne, Julian Clary and Paul Merton and Suzi Webster.

Princess Cruises UK and Europe vice-president Eithne Williamson said: “We’re thrilled to offer a range of entertainment options to suit a wide range of tastes.

“It’s great to be welcoming our guests back on board Sky Princess in Southampton and to see them enjoying their time both on shore and on board in equal measure.”

In March, Princess held the float out ceremony for its next-generation ship, Sun Princess.
