Ellie Webb Princess Cruises

Hurtigruten has appointed Princess Cruises’ Ellie Webb as senior sales manager for UK and emerging markets

The newly created role will see Webb join the business in late June, reporting to recently appointed sales director Matthew Stuart.

She will support Hurtigruten’s trade sales strategy across the UK and selected emerging markets and work closely with key partners, focus on driving continued growth, strengthen strategic relationships and develop the existing team further.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ellie to the team as we continue to build momentum across the UK and emerging markets,” said Hayley Moore, vice president sales and marketing, UK and emerging markets at Hurtigruten.

“Her depth of experience across both cruise and FMCG, combined with her strong commercial focus and passion for partnership, makes her a brilliant fit for Hurtigruten. Ellie’s appointment reflects our continued investment in the trade, and she will play an important role in expanding our reach and supporting our partners as we continue to grow.”

Webb brings more than 20 years of sales experience, including a decade within the cruise sector and 12 years in FMCG. She joins Hurtigruten from Carnival Corporation, where she spent ten years working across P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess.

Most recently, she held the role of sales manager for the UK at Princess, where she was responsible for managing key partnerships and delivering profitable growth.

“I’ve always admired what Hurtigruten stands for, particularly its commitment to supporting local communities and its genuine care for people, nature and livelihoods,” said Webb.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining a brand that is widely recognised for delivering iconic experiences in one of the most beautiful regions of the world for over 130 years.”

Yas McKechnie, sales director for UK, Ireland and EMEA at Princess Cruises, said: “We are delighted for Ellie as she steps into this exciting new opportunity. Her contribution to our business team has been exceptional over the years, and she leaves with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.”
