Premium All Inclusive – introducing the new way to cruise

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line has once again taken the initiative when it comes to setting the trend for contemporary cruising. And this time they show their innovative side by introducing the increasingly popular concept of all-inclusive to the Northern European cruise market with Premium All Inclusive, offering added value for guests of more than 1,200 GBP per stateroom. With today’s world becoming faster, louder and more connected, what better to find on holiday than a slower pace, simplicity and pure relaxation?

And this is what Norwegian Cruise Line’s Premium All Inclusive is all about – creating a holiday at sea at one’s own pace and experiencing a new sense of freedom and a more carefree cruise experience.

So what can the sea-going holidaymaker expect from Premium All Inclusive. First and foremost, it makes holiday budgeting much easier. Just as the name suggests, there’s a whole lot more included in the upfront price, not least premium drinks freely poured in all bars, lounges and dining venues for the duration of the cruise. Adults can choose from branded drinks, including spirits and cocktails, wines, beers and a range of soft drinks, while kids can fill up on juices, water and soft drinks. Other nice touches are complimentary bottled water in the ship’s staterooms and Lavazza speciality coffees served in dining venues as well as even more included extras for guests staying in the cruise line’s luxurious suites and The Haven suites. Let’s face it, tipping on board cruise ships can be a contentious issue and it’s good to see that Norwegian has included service charges as well as gratuities on all included services covered by the Premium All Inclusive plan. Guests can expect to see the difference in their on-board accounts and that’s got to make for a more relaxing holiday.

The rediscovery of Europe.
In summer 2017 and 2018, five ships in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet will be cruising European waters including – for the first time since 2010 – regular departures from Southampton and a new embarkation port of Hamburg, Germany for cruising Northern waters. Destinations include the Norwegian fjords, Iceland, Great Britain and the North Cape. In addition, with Norwegian Getaway in 2017 and Norwegian Breakaway in 2018 two of the line’s newest ships sail to Russia, Scandinavia and the Baltic from Copenhagen including an overnight in St. Petersburg. “With these new and exciting summer routes, we are showing our significant commitment to the European cruise market. Not only do we have the largest fleet in company history sailing the European waters, but we’re also bringing our newest and most innovative ships back to Europe,” says Christian Böll, Managing Director EMEA.

DINING
Fine dining onboard

With Premium All Inclusive, various dining options are already included in the travel fare, next to all drinks. For those who want to get exceptional dining experiences on board, our specialty restaurants are the place to be. One thing is sure: no culinary wishes will be left unfulfilled!

All included
Breakfast à la carte and classic multi-course menus for lunch and dinner are available in the main restaurants – up to three different restaurants are offered on one ship. The Asian Fusion restaurant offers delicious wok dishes, authentic soups and a lot more. These dining options are included in Premium All Inclusive as well as O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill, which is open 24 hours. Another included option are the Norwegian Cruise Line buffet restaurants: Different live cooking stations with pasta, omelettes and other delicacies are awaiting hungry travellers.

The special treat
For those who want to taste gastronomic highlights in a new dimension, the Norwegian Cruise Line specialty restaurants are the right address: Exquisite seafood at our seafood speciality restaurants, finest Brazilian beef delivered on spits directly to the table at “Moderno Churrascaria” or the best Ossobuco at “La Cucina” are just a few examples.

AWARD-WINNING ENTERTAINMENT
Broadway shows at sea
Norwegian is renowned for its spectacular shows and the fully-staged Broadway musicals are no exception. Two hot hits are Rock of Ages, on stage on board Norwegian Breakaway, which takes the audience back to the 1980’s glory days of big bands, big hair and legendary musical anthems. The love interest comes courtesy of a small-town boy and girl living in Los Angeles, but what really makes this head-bobbin’, rockin’ party roll is the non-stop parade of 80’s hits and raw enthusiasm of the cast. By contrast, on board Norwegian Getaway, the audience is transported to Sun Records studio in Memphis in 1956 when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins came together for the first and only time in the ultimate jam session. The upbeat show “Million Dollar Quartet” features more than 20 iconic rock ‘n’ roll classics.

Dinner and a show
Another of Norwegian’s firsts at sea are the intimate Cirque Dreams & Dinner shows that bring the retro concept of dinner shows bang up to date. They’ve cleverly created purpose-built, circus-style Spiegel Tents on Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Breakaway as well as the unique Illusionarium on board Norwegian Getaway, where guests dine in style and are entertained by gravity-defying acrobatics, a lavish helping of fun and a touch of audience participation.

Beatlemania and live music venues
Themed music venues on board add a feeling of authenticity and atmosphere to live shows. Guest favourites are the recreation of Liverpool’s Cavern Club complete with 1960’s sounds and memories of Beatlemania on board Norwegian Epic; the get-on-down island-groove at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at Sea and singing along with the awesome Howl at the Moon duelling pianos. Comedy comes in many guises with The Second City® group performing on several ships. One show really worth catching is their hilarious murder mystery lunch, just exactly who ‘done’ it, is what guests will find out on the day. In addition, Norwegian’s shipboard parties give everyone A-list status and the chance to dress up and join in the action. There’s something about dancing under the stars and their signature H2GLOW party lets you do just that. Song, dance and spectacle combine throughout Norwegians fleet and there’s music almost everywhere, so music lovers just have to follow their ears.
