P&O Cruises has named Norse Atlantic Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Tui as its airline partners for its winter 2024/25 season of fly-cruises to the CaribbeanÂ
It comes after the line decided not to extend its partnership with Maltese carrier Maleth Aero. Earlier this year, Carnival UK and P&O president Paul Ludlow apologised for “flight issues” during its recent winter season.
Between November 2024 and March 2025, Norse Atlantic will operate a weekly Friday flight from Manchester to Barbados and Saturday flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Antigua and Barbados on alternating weekly schedule.
Longstanding partner Tui will operate Friday and Saturday flights to Barbados from Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester, as well as regional flights from Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Bristol, Bournemouth, Glasgow and Newcastle on selected dates.
Both Tui and Norse have Boeing 787 Dreamliners with economy and premium economy cabins, while Virgin will operate an Airbus A350 whole plane charter in a three class configuration from Heathrow every 14 days for Arvia’s guests joining in Barbados on a Friday.
Ludlow said: “We recognise that flights are a key part of the holiday experience and so I am delighted that we are continuing our longstanding partnership with Tui Airways and that we are introducing a bespoke in-flight proposition with Norse Atlantic as well as fortnightly flights with Virgin Atlantic.
“This will ensure our guests have a consistent in-flight experience aligned across all three airlines matching the high quality standard they would expect from P&O Cruises.”
P&O Cruises ‘delighted’ to partner with Tui, Norse and Virgin
All guests flying on any of the three airlines will be offered a choice of economy or premium economy, with upper class on Virgin Atlantic.
Luggage allowance of 23kg will be available in economy, 28kg in premium economy or two lots of 23kg in Virgin Atlantic upper class in addition to 10kg of hand baggage and a small carry on bag.
In-flight entertainment will also be available across all cabin classes and amenity kits will be provided in premium economy and upper class.
