Marella Cruises partners with Champneys for its first spa at sea

Marella Cruises announced its partnership with the luxury spa brand Champneys, at a London event last night. The spa will feature on its newest ship, Marella Explorer, from May 2018.

The partnership will bring guests onExplorer, which will make its maiden voyage in summer next year, ‘Ocean Spa Luxury Face and Body treatments’, including face and body massages which will work with the ‘rhythm of the sea’ and using products enriched with sea minerals.

The announcement was made at the Rosewood London, close to Covent Garden, and was attended by a myriad of celebrities including Millie Macintosh, Donna Air and Anthea Turner.

There are currently five ships in the Marella Cruises fleet, Marella Dream, Marella Celebration, Marella Discovery, Marella Discovery 2 and Spirit which won’t take the Marella name as she leaves the fleet after her final sailing next summer. New ship Marella Explorer will begin sailing in summer 2018. The brands also revealed what the spa might look like.

UK favourite Champneys has four luxury health spa resorts (Forest Mere, Henlow, Springs and Tring), one hotel (Eastwell Manor Spa Hotel in Kent) and six city spas (Chichester, Enfield, Guildford, Milton Keynes, Tunbridge Wells, and St Albans), two beauty colleges (Tring and one in Holborn London) and a range of globally recognised products.
