Hurtigruten has unveiled a new brochure to its travel partners, detailing its series of enticing new 2021/2022 expedition voyages from Dover.
Keeping up with demand for no-fly cruises, the cruise line will run a series of expedition cruises from Dover next year, which will take place aboard MS Maud.
The new sailings will give British travellers the opportunity to cruise without having to fly, embarking on an array of expedition sailings from the Kent port.
Along with British Isles sailings – calling at the likes of Scotland and Northern Ireland’s Rathlin Island – Hurtigruten will also offer Norway sailings, taking in the northern reaches of the country and the Norwegian Fjords.
For the first time in Hurtigruten’s 127-year-history, passengers will also be able to sail from Dover to Southern Scandinavia.
Sailing aboard newly refurbished MS Maud, passengers can choose from 13- and 15-day round-trips, taking in destinations like the Norwegian Lofoten Islands, Sweden’s Koster Islands and the Arctic Circle.
In the Arctic Circle, passengers will have the chance to see the Aurora Borealis, with Hurtigruten offering a Northern Lights Promise. Passengers will be able to re-book onto a six- or seven-day Classic Voyage free of charge.
Sailings will take place on 530-passenger ship MS Maud, which boasts a Science Centre hosting guest speakers, high-tech equiptment, educational lectures and workshops with the ship’s dedicated expedition team.
Excursions will also be adventure based, including beach clean-ups, hiking, birdwatching, kayaking and sailing on zodiacs.
Discussing the new brochure, UK general manager for Hurtigruten Anthony Daniels said: “We are delighted to launch our new expedition cruises from Dover 2021/22 brochure which will be available to all our travel agent partners.
“There are some incredible itineraries as well as new destinations included that deliver truly authentic adventures for those who are curious to experience more of the world around them.
“Every destination has been handpicked by experts to create the ultimate expedition for guests. From witnessing the spectacular wildlife of the British Isles, the rugged Archipelagos in Southern Scandinavia, to the stunning Norwegian fjords and the mesmerising Northern Lights.
“With departures from Dover and the small ship ambience of MS Maud, we’ve made it even easier for guests to get up and close to nature – something the bigger ships can’t.”
The brochure is out now, and available to all Hurtigruten travel partners.
