Holland America Line is giving travel agent partners the chance to step on board its fleet and experience the brand throughout 2023.
Showcasing three different ships including the newest vessel, Rotterdam, the line said that up to 350 agents will be able to enjoy a full ship tour and find out “first-hand what the cruise line has to offer guests”.
Agents will be invited on board Rotterdam, Zuiderdam and Nieuw Statendam, across UK and Ireland ports including Dover, South Queensferry (Edinburgh), Cobh, Belfast, and Liverpool.
The visits will take place from April to October.
Holland America Line said in a statement that it is “focused on building brand awareness and developing relationships with the trade”.
Holland America Line ‘excited’ to host agents
In a statement, the cruise line added that “2023 is a very special year for Holland America Line as the company marks its 150th anniversary, with a celebration in Rotterdam on 18 April”.
To commemorate this occasion there will be a transatlantic crossing retracing the very first HAL sailing from New York and ending in Rotterdam in time for the celebrations.
Celebrations on board will include a gala menu made of classic dishes, a new and exclusive De Lijn gin, plus a visual story outlining the company’s history.
The line’s sales and marketing director Karen Farndell said: “We’re so excited to welcome our travel agent partners on board this year.
“We know how important these experiences are for agents to increase brand knowledge and experience the product for themselves.
“Having the new team on board will also be a great opportunity to listen to our agent partners about their views on how the team can support with future sales growth.”
