Former Oceania Cruises managing director Bernard Carter has joined Atlas Ocean Voyages in a consulting role, supporting the brand’s sales efforts in the UK and EMEA regions.

In his new role, Carter will advise the team specifically on the UK and European markets, leveraging his decades of experience and relationships across the continent.

“Bernard Carter is a welcomed asset to the Atlas Ocean Voyage’s sales team as we continue to grow and expand our fleet and deployment footprint,” said Atlas president and CEO James Rodriguez.

“Building and sourcing guests from new markets is an important piece of our expansion plan and we welcome Bernard’s support in our international sales initiative.”

Carter to help support Atlas Ocean Voyages’ UK sales efforts

The move will see Carter rejoin the travel industry following his departure from Oceania earlier this year. He joined the line in 2005 as senior director sales and marketing. Prior to Oceania, Carter held roles with Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Festival Cruises and Silversea Cruises.

“The Atlas Ocean Voyages team has developed the brand around two of my greatest passions – exquisite cuisine and exploration,” added Carter. “I look forward to supporting sales efforts in the UK and Europe and introducing our unique expedition yachting experience to this market.”
