Cruise Trade News March 2023

With what seems to be unrelenting speed, we are fast approaching Easter and yet another milestone in the year.

We wanted to mark this time with something special and as with our annual Christmas cruise advent calendar, something that will provide a little added cheer to your day-to-day jobs. So, with plenty of fanfare, we are launching our first Cruise Trade News Easter egg hunt, in collaboration with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

I won’t give it all away here, so see inside for the full details on how you can get involved and what you need to do to get your hands on a fun treat.

Our investigation this issue sees us tackle the topic of brand loyalty and how important this is to clients when booking their next cruise. This stems from recent research showing that the destination and ports of call on a n itinerary are inching their way up the decision-making table. We also take a closer look at what’s on board P&O Cruises’ new ship, Arvia and outline the top tips for selling mini cruises to convince new-to-cruise customers to take the plunge.

Elsewhere, AmaWaterways managing director Jamie Loizou discusses the river line’s focus on trade partnerships, as well as how it is innovating and expanding it’s itineraries. We also stay on the rivers for this month’s Cruise Review, sailing on A-Rosa River Cruises’ hybrid powered ship A-Rosa Sena.

Last but not least, you’ll find a roundtable interview with a selection of winners from the War Awards 2022, who explain what winning meant to them and what trends they are seeing for this your and beyond.

Enjoy the issue.
