About Napier
Although street after street of restored 1930 Art Deco buildings have made Napier famous, it’s the fine wineries and restaurants on the cusp of the Pacific Ocean that keep tourists coming back more. The boutique shops are also a highlight for many, as are the sea walls, while intrepid visitors might find the collection of magnificent murals painted on more than 50 walls around the city. The perfect photo opportunity can be found at the Viewing Platform, located on the Marine Parade foreshore, just down from the Pania statue.
