About Liverpool

A former European capital of culture, Liverpool is known around the world for Beatlemania, its maritime heritage and sporting prowess. Liverpool has more museums and galleries than any other UK city outside London and several, including the Merseyside Maritime Museum and International Slavery Museum, are located on the waterfront close to the cruise terminal. A huge attraction is the legacy of the Beatles and all manner of Beatles excursions are available. These include the Magical Mystery Tour, a two-hour bus tour from Albert Dock which passes the Beatles’ childhood homes and the Cavern Club.
