About Athens

The citadel of the Acropolis, overlooking Athens, is among the most recognisable remnants of ancient Greece and widely regarded as the one of most important ancient monuments in the western world. It includes the Parthenon, a magnificent temple dedicated to the Greek goddess, Athena. Excursions from the cruise port of Piraeus take 20 minutes to get to the city.
