Cunard has appointed David Jones as its new vice president of global marketing and UK/EMEA sales following the departure of Angus Struthers
The line said Jones, who has been with Cunard since 2017 leading B2C and B2B marketing, will bring a “wealth of global marketing experience” to the position, which he took up on Monday (10 June).
In his new role, Jones will oversee key areas of Cunard’s marketing and sales strategies, driving growth and strengthening the brand’s presence globally while delivering sales strategies across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Katie McAlister, president of Cunard, said: “We are delighted to welcome David to our leadership team at such a crucial moment for our brand. His experience will be instrumental as we continue to build our global marketing presence.”
Jones appointment comes after Struthers departs Cunard
The appointment comes after former VP of global marketing and EMEA sales for the line Struthers left the business following the inaugural events for new ship Queen Anne.
Struthers worked for Cunard since 2013, leading brand development, marketing, PR and events, trade relations in the UK and across EMEA, and digital transformation.
McAlister hailed Struthers for being “at the heart of the Cunard brand evolution and commercial growth” over the last decade overseeing a number of developments.
