Cunard, the luxury British cruise line, has announced a series of new voyages for 2021.

The new voyages will take place on the line’s 2,000-passenger ship Queen Elizabeth, and include new scenic voyages, overnight European stays and the return of Mediterranean fly-cruises.

The ship will sail a series of three to 14-day voyages around Europe in 2021, before making her way to Asia and Australia for the winter months.

Marking her first foray into scenic cruising, Queen Elizabeth will also offer travellers a choice of three- and four-night voyages around the British Isles – attracting cruisers who may not want to venture abroad.

Cunard president, Simon Palethorpe, said, “We are thrilled to announce such a broad new programme for Queen Elizabeth, with sailings from Southampton and, later in 2021, from Barcelona.

“For her first few sailings, we are introducing new, shorter scenic voyages that will sail along some of the UK’s most magnificent coastlines, from the Isles of Scilly, off Cornwall to Scotland’s Inner Hebrides.

“And, for the first time since 2014, Queen Elizabeth will also be sailing a series of fly-cruises in the Mediterranean, departing from Barcelona.

“Whether guests have sailed with us before, or are taking a cruise for the first time and want a taster of how special a holiday with Cunard can be, we think there’s an ideal itinerary for everyone.”

Cunard is also offering incentives to encourage guests to book.

Palethorpe continued: “As an added incentive, guests can enjoy a complimentary upgrade on their suite or stateroom booking.

“For example, guests can experience a Queens Grill Suite for the fare of a Princess Grill Suite or an upgrade to a Balcony when selecting an Inside stateroom.”

Queen Elizabeth will resume sailing in Southampton on 26 March 2021, after almost a year out of operation.

The season will end on 19 December 2021 in Melbourne, Australia.

The programme will also include enticing overnight stays in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Rotterdam, Singapore and Auckland.

Late evening departures in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Aqaba, Colombo and Fremantle will also allow passengers more time to explore.

Balcony staterooms start at just £299 – using the upgrade incentive – for a British Isles Scenic cruise.
