Crystal Cruises has officially relaunched under a new name and vision.
The luxury cruise line will now be known as Crystal – Exceptional at Sea, starting a “new era” for the brand, A&K Travel Group said in a statement.
Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony have been refurbished with larger suites and the ships now include “artisanal finishes, cutting-edge on-board wellness and world-class dining and entertainment”, the line added.
A&K Travel Group purchased the ships last summer.
The first sailings will be a Mediterranean cruise on Crystal Serenity, departing 31 July from Marseille, followed by Crystal Symphony, scheduled to depart on 1 September from Athens.
Crystal Cruises is ‘reborn’
Crystal president Jack Anderson said: “I am delighted to announce that Crystal is reborn, with Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony reimagined and enhancements made to every part of our guests’ journey.
“Palatial suites, spacious verandas and guest rooms have been rolled out on both ships, reducing overall guest capacity.
“Personalised service – long a Crystal signature – has been elevated further. Dining is a journey through culinary specialties, with authentic food from around the globe.
“Local experts at Abercrombie & Kent have planned memorable experiences in each destination to guarantee beyond-the-guidebook access.”
In late January, Andrew Magowan joined Crystal as vice-president of sales for the UK and Europe.
