Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) still has availability on a 34-day cruise to Canada on board Marco Polo from September 7.
The cruise retraces the journey as part of the vessels Golden Anniversary celebrations. The ship was originally called the Alexandr Pushkin, after the Russian poet. In the seventies the ship operated regular crossings from Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) to Montreal in Canada via London Tilbury.
Guests will spend 20 days in Canada and the journey includes visits to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Québec, Montréal and cruising the St. Lawrence River.
The trip costs from £1299pp, around £40 per person per night. The price includes accommodation on a full board basis plus afternoon tea and late night snacks. Also included are the daytime activities programme, guest speakers, ‘big show’ evening entertainment, complimentary tea and coffee (6am – 10pm) and porterage of luggage from port to cabin. Prices are per person based on two people sharing a twin inner cabin. Gratuities are £4 per person per night which is added to the on board account.
