Cruise Croatia to debut new-build ship in 2025

Cruise Croatia RV Aretis

Luxury small-ship cruise line Cruise Croatia has revealed plans to launch a new-build ship in 2025

The 36-guest MV Aretis is the first of its kind to be built in Croatia in three years and will join the Cruise Croatia fleet in early spring next year, offering 19 seven-night departures from Dubrovnik to Split, and vice versa, from 7 June to 11 October. For 2026, it will operate the full summer season offering 24 departures.

Cruise Croatia has partnered with the Radež ship yard in Korcula and made a 20 per cent investment in the build process, allowing exclusive use of Aretis through 2025, 2026 and 2027.

The ship will feature 18 en-suite cabins measuring up to 160 sq ft, as well as a restaurant and bar area on the upper deck. The outside of the ship will have a sundeck and covered outdoor lounge area with sofas, sun loungers and a jacuzzi.

MV Aretis will offer swim stops throughout its cruises, and be equipped with stand-up paddle boards, a sea kayak, floaties, goggles, snorkels and fins in various sizes. Additionally, complimentary Wi-Fi, tea, coffee and filtered water will be available.

Graham Carter, chief commercial officer of Cruise Croatia, said: “We’re very proud to announce the introduction of MV Aretis to the Cruise Croatia fleet. Demand for luxury small-ship cruising is growing, as guests seek out holidays with a difference, exploring destinations that larger vessels simply cannot visit.

MV Aretis will be one of the most stylish and elegant ships ever built in Croatia, offering a luxurious and intimate cruise experience. We cannot wait to welcome guests onboard.”

Cruise Croatia sees uptick in demand for solo sailings

Earlier this year the company boosted its solo traveller offering with dedicated single occupancy cabins on every departure throughout 2024.

It marked the first time the luxury small-ship cruise operator had offered cabins exclusively for individual passengers. Alongside the cabins, which are available at no additional charge, the line provides exclusive experiences on board and ashore for those travelling by themselves.
