Cruise & Maritime Voyages has officially announced the arrival of the newest addition to its fleet.
The 1,220-passenger Vasco da Gama, which features 630 cabins including 120 balcony cabins and 29 suites, sails its maiden voyage from Singapore to London Tilbury on 22 April.
The 43-night voyage calls in Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Cochin, Israel, and the Mediterranean, among other destinations.
She will spend the summer cruising in Europe and sail from London Tilbury on the 9 October 2019 on a 53-night voyage to Australia, calling in Barbados, the Panama Canal, Acapulco, the islands of the South Pacific, and Auckland, concluding in Sydney, Australia, where she will cruise for the winter season.
Vasco da Gama will offer flexible dining times at any of the three main on-board restaurants – a first for CMV.
CMV’s head of marketing Mike Hall said: “We are exceedingly happy to announce that at 19:48 Singapore local time we officially took delivery of our new ship Vasco da Gama. After the formal renaming ceremony, she officially entered the CMV fleet and we are delighted to welcome her into the CMV family.”
Vasco da Gama was fully refurbished in 2015 and has had a new livery painted and revised signage, plus some technical work completed before joining CMV’s fleet.
