Interest in Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ (CMV) no-fly cruise holidays from UK ports in 2021 is picking up with more bookings being made, including popular Northern Lights itineraries, according to the cruise line.

Marketing director at CMV, Mike Hall, said: “Our experience over the last two to three weeks is that the UK is thinking again about a cruise holiday in 2021.

“Those itineraries that offer a sense of discovery and exploration are leading in popularity. It looks like we all want something to look forward to after lockdown and when cruise operations resume. Having the chance to see the fantastic natural display of the Northern Lights is high on many wish lists.”

CMV has a number of itineraries in 2021 that sail in search of the Northern Lights.

Marco Polo departs from the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury on 5 March 2021 on a 15-night cruise calling in various Norwegian locations, including Tromso, Alesund and Narvik, plus an overnight stay in Alta. The ports of Trondheim and Bergen are also included.

Fares are currently available from £999 per person.

Sailing from London Tilbury on 20 March 2021 aboard Marco Polo journeys to Iceland in search of the Northern lights on a 12-night itinerary including an overnight stay in the capital Reykjavik plus calls to the Shetland Islands and the Faroes. Fares are available from £849 per person.

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has extended the suspension of all worldwide cruises from 25 May to 30 June 2020.

All affected passengers are being offered a future cruise credit of 125 per cent of the amount paid for the cruising holiday valid until 31 March 2021 and redeemable against the best deal of the day, including the cruise line’s Buy One Get One Free Offer applicable on all 2021 sailings.
