Celestyal places focus on pre- and post-stays with new hire

Celestyal Rachel Wilton

Celestyal will look to strengthen its pre- and post-cruise offering with the appointment of Rachel Wilton as vice president of revenue, product and shore experiences

Wilton, who brings commercial leadership experience from her previous roles at Virgin Atlantic, will be based in the UK and report to Lee Haslett, chief commercial officer.

In the newly created position, Wilton will focus on the development of pre- and post-cruise experiences for the line’s agent community, while boosting the shore excursion programme as Celestyal expands into new destinations and executing the company’s revenue management strategy.

She will also lead the global revenue and inventory management, shore excursions and data analytics teams in a bid to bolster the line’s capabilities in demand forecasting, dynamic pricing and inventory management, while also fostering partnerships with tour operators, hotels, airlines and excursion providers.

Haslett said: “We are thrilled to welcome Rachel to our leadership team. Her exceptional strategic vision and proven track record in driving profitability and operational excellence make her the perfect fit for Celestyal.”

Celestyal continues trade-focussed expansion

He continued: “We are confident that Rachel’s leadership and innovative approach will play a pivotal role in propelling Celestyal into its next phase of growth and success within the cruise industry.”

Wilton added: “I am thrilled to be joining Celestyal at such an exciting juncture, I am eager to contribute to Celestyal’s ambitious growth in product development, revenue generation and shore experiences as we expand into new destinations.”

It comes after Celestyal launched a new tool which allows agents to book cruise and land packages for their clients. The new offering, which is available vie Celestyal’s trade booking system, gives agents the ability to add pre- and post-cruise hotel stays and transfers.
