MSC Cruises' latest ship has been floated out, marking a key milestone ahead of the vessel's 2027 launch
MSC World Atlantic has touched water for the first time at Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France where the vessel is under construction.
Set to become the 25th ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, MSC World Atlantic will be the fourth vessel in the line's World Class series.
From November next year, the ship is slated to operate alternating seven-night and 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings.
An MSC Cruises spokesperson said: "The float out marks an important stage in the ship's journey towards joining the MSC Cruises fleet, where the newly built vessel is moved from the construction dock into the water, where she will undergo the next phase of her completion ahead of delivery."
The third vessel in MSC Cruises' World Class series, MSC World Asia, is scheduled to join the fleet on 4 December.
Four further World Class ships are slated to enter service between 2029 and 2031.
