Celestyal has cancelled four additional sailings as repositioning plans continue to be delayed due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East
The line will not operate two Greek Island sailings on Celestyal Discovery, due to depart on 3 April and 6 April, or two Mediterranean sailings on Celestyal Journey, both due to depart on 4 April, one of which was for seven nights and the other 14 nights.
The latest cancellations come after Celestyal was forced to cancel six sailings as a result of US-Israel military action in Iran which escalated at the end of February where air strikes killed Iranian leader Ali Khamenei. Iran responded by bombing US allies in the region, including Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.
Celestyal then cancelled an additional two departures due to repositioning issues.
A spokesperson for the line said the repositioning of both Celestyal Discovery and Celestyal Journey have been delayed again as the conflict continues, but it remains in close coordination with the relevant authorities in the Middle East.
Affected passengers will be offered the choice of a full refund or future cruise credit.
A spokesperson said: “Affected guests are kindly asked to contact their original travel provider to discuss the available options and next steps.
“We continue to monitor developments closely and remain focused on resuming our planned programme as soon as possible. We would like to thank our guests and valued partners for their patience and understanding during this time.”
