Avalon Waterways gets fresh with food

Avalon Waterways

Avalon Waterways has teamed up with Austrian brothers Karl and Leo Wrenkh to give its dining a fresh and healthy flavour.

The brothers grew up in the first high-quality vegetarian restaurant in Vienna and opened a cookery school in the city in 2009 offering classes in everything from Indian cuisine to traditional Viennese dishes.

Starting in 2017, they will be providing a variety of local and international dishes on all Avalon cruises under the Avalon Fresh slogan that use ingredients that have been sourced locally.

US managing director Patrick Clark said the new partnership takes Avalon’s cuisine ‘to the next level’. “This exciting collection of new food will be so mouth-watering, it will be hard to believe it’s healthy.”

Avalon has a themed culinary cruise on the Seine departing April 25 2017 that will include cookery talks and tastings. From £2,141 per person including flights and UK and overseas transfers.
