Avalon Waterways announces fleet-wide renovation programme
Avalon Waterways has announced plans to refurbish its fleet of river vessels
Over the next two years, several of the operator’s vessels will receive “top to bottom” enhancements, including new interiors and upgraded outdoor spaces.
Avalon Alegria, Avalon View and Avalon Envision – the brand’s newest ships – will remain unchanged and act as the model vessels for the fleet-wide refresh.
Upgrades include new décor in every public space, a second Starlink antenna and new furniture in the Sky Deck.
The ships’ Observation Lounges will also be enhanced, fitness rooms will feature Kinesis weight machines and an expanded selection of free weights and each ship will boast 15 new bikes and four new e-bikes.
The refurbishments will be carried out in three phases, with Avalon Passion, Avalon Imagery II, Avalon Poetry II, Avalon Panorama and Avalon Vista receiving enhancements last year.
In 2025, Avalon Artistry II, Avalon Impression, Avalon Illumination, Avalon Tapestry II and Avalon Tranquility II will be upgraded, followed by Avalon Expression and Avalon Visionary in 2026.

“With our fleet-wide refresh, we’re elevating details – from drapes on the widest-opening windows in river cruising and décor of our Panorama Lounges to fit-for-purpose fitness centres and fleet of new bikes – ensuring that our Suite Ships continue to set the standard for effortless, along the world’s waterways.”
It comes after Avalon Waterways bolstered its ties with UK agents with the launch of its first fam trip programme since 2020.
