APT to deliver new in-person agent training events

APT introduces BDM for homeworkers position to develop partnerships

APT & Travelmarvel is working with training company Bright to deliver a new programme of in-person training events for independent agents across the UK.

The events, to be held over dinner at various locations,  will give travel agents the opportunity to learn about the operator’s plans and ensure “they have the right tools for sales success”, APT said.

Each event will start with welcome drinks, followed by a 10-minute presentation and networking. One will take place today (Wednesday 14 September), at Hintlesham Hall, Ipswich.

Others will be held on 11 October at the Barnett Hill Hotel, Guildford, and on 12 October at Salomons Estate, Tunbridge Wells.

APT backing face-to-face training

APT & Travelmarvel head of sales and business development Brad Bennetts said: “We are thrilled to have joined Bright, as we firmly believe that face-to-face training is one of the most powerful tools and adds significant value for agents.

“At APT, we want to equip agents with all the tools that they need to promote river cruising to their existing databases and to grow their businesses by attracting new-to-cruise customers.

“This is a perfect opportunity for agents to upskill ahead of what we predict will be a fantastic peaks period.”

Kirker Holidays’ Hisham Mahmoud, who is also chairman of Bright, added: “We are extremely happy to welcome APT to the Bright family.

“We are always looking for a unique specialist product and brands that are keen to build long lasting relationship with some of the best independent travel agents all over the UK.

“As the leader in river cruising, APT is the perfect addition to our group of specialists.

“We welcome Brad Bennetts and his team to the Bright family and look forward to helping APT to engage with independent agents who are looking to expand their specialist tour operator offering.”
