APT has revealed the first glimpse of its new Douro ship Estrela after it saw a surge in bookings for the Portuguese river
Custom designed for Travelmarvel, APT’s sister brand, the vessel is currently being built in Portugal and will sail in the country’s northern wine region from summer 2024.
In a bid to support agents in capitalising on the uptick in demand, the company has added a suite of images to its APT Agent Club portal. The new assets can be used as marketing tools, or to reassure customers at the point of booking.
Images feature the vessel’s 60 cabins, accommodating up to 120 guests, as well as dining options, the largest swimming pool on the Douro, a putting green, spa and fitness centre, leisure areas, bars, restaurants, and al fresco dining spaces.
Seven-night cruise available on board new APT & Travelmarvel vessel
Travelmarvel’s seven-night Douro Discovery cruise costs from £1,995pp, including return flights, 20 meals, complimentary soft drink, beer and local wine with lunch and dinners on board, land excursions, transfers, port charges and gratuities.
It comes after the company last week appointed Leiza Sullivan as business development manager for central England and Elaine O’Brien as BDM for Travelmarvel in Ireland.
Prior to that, it promoted existing business development manager for central England Robin Griffiths to the newly created role of national account manager.
