AmaWaterways reports 78% increase in travel agent partners
AmaWaterways has seen a 78% year-on-year increase in the number of travel agents booking its river cruises.
It comes after the line reported reservations made in 2023 for any departure year were up 46% compared to same results in 2019.
The brand’s reservations team has grown by 50% in recent months, and an additional dedicated agency support executive has been recruited.
With more than 90% of AmaWaterways’ UK business coming from its trade partners, enhancing product knowledge remains a top priority for the brand. The company welcomed more than 500 travel agents on board its ships in 2023.
AmaWaterways’ agent partners earn more commission ‘than ever before’
“We are very pleased with this year’s results and delighted that our travel agent partners have earned more in commission from AmaWaterways than ever before,” said UK managing director Jamie Loizou.
“Our exotics programme, specifically cruises on the Mekong River, has performed very well this year and AmaMagna, our unique double-width ship cruising the Danube River, continues to capture the imagination of the luxury client.”
As part of its wave campaign, AmaWaterways will offer free flights and overseas transfers, plus savings of up to £1,500 per couple on select 2024 and 2025 cruises in its 2024 from 26 December.
