Voyages to Antiquity’s classic cruise ship MV Aegean Odyssey will homeport from London Tilbury in 2017.

In the last week of June 2016, the 350-passenger ship sailed into British waters for the first time, calling at Falmouth, Dartmouth and Dover.

During the sailing to the UK, via Spain and France, travel agents jumped on board for a series of familiarisation trips.
The trips were co-ordinated in groups of 10, across three sectors: Nice to Barcelona from June 2-7; Barcelona to Malaga on June 7-10 and Malaga to Seville on June 10-13.

The hosted visits saw key partners, retail agents and tour operators plus 10 winners of the VTA Experts prize draw spend time on board to get a feel for the ship’s relaxed and informal style.

VTAExperts.com is Voyages to Antiquity’s online agent centre which offers the tools and support to help become VTA Experts.

The online training programme was launched at the end of last year and features a number of online training modules.

Once completed, agents graduate as a ‘Luminary’ and automatically receive special offers, information, launch details, ship visits and fam trip opportunities.

The flexible online training programme means agents can work through in their own time and come back to complete it at any time.

Partnership manager Michelle Daniels said: “We continually add new modules, such as our new 2017 destinations module added in April this year, which encourages our Luminaries to keep their status.

“We had wonderful feedback from everyone who came on board; they really liked the ship’s friendly atmosphere and more casual style of cruising.

“Anyone who would like further information about the ship and our training modules should visit the website at VTAExperts.com.”
