AE Expeditions appoints UK & Europe BDM

Andrew Tait, AE Expeditions

AE Expeditions has appointed Andrew Tait as senior business development manager (BDM) for the UK and Europe.

Tait – who will be based in London – joins with a “strong and respectable background in stakeholder management in the travel industry”, the line said in statement.

He will report to the operator’s EMEA managing director Jos Dewing, with responsibility for building industry relationships, establishing new partnerships and identifying opportunities with indirect channels.

Tait will work closely with BDM Katie Harber, sales support executive Karen Hollands and the EMEA reservations team to “enhance the business and achieve further growth and market share”.

AE Expeditions ‘protecting oceans’

Dewing said: “Andrew is known in the industry for being enthusiastic and passionate about travel, and alongside his excellent personal and presentation skills, I am sure he will be a great asset to the UK and greater Aurora team.

“We warmly welcome Andrew to our UK team and look forward to highlighting the need to travel responsibly, conserving and protecting the fragile oceans of the world and doing what AE Expeditions does best, which is to offer authentic, small ship adventures, in the company of responsible and knowledgeable experts.”

Tait added: “Customer satisfaction and relationship building are of paramount importance to the team at AE Expeditions.

“Alongside the highly experienced EMEA sales team, I will use my skills and experience in stakeholder management and my passion for nature and the natural world, to grow our market share in a trustworthy, reliable and solid manner.”

At the end of March, AE Expeditions launched its 2024-2025 Antarctic programme, featuring 25 voyages ranging from nine to 23 days in duration.
