Abercrombie & Kent has confirmed it is building a new Nile riverboat, its fifth in Egypt, which will launch in late 2025.
The vessel will feature two restaurants – indoor and outdoor – serving food made with locally sourced ingredients, along with a spa, a gym, social spaces, a swimming pool and a sundeck.
The name of the new Nile riverboat will be revealed in the coming months. It will offer 32 cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows and Juliet balconies above the water, marble bathrooms and 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets. Two presidential suites will have an outdoor hot tub on their own private decks.
The riverboat will also be available for private charters. A&K already operates four boutique river boats on the Nile: the Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV, and Zein Nile Chateau.
New Abercrombie & Kent vessel tipped for completion in Autumn 2025
“Nobody knows Egypt better than Abercrombie & Kent,” said Cristina Levis, chief executive of A&K Travel Group.
“We pioneered luxury Nile cruises more than four decades ago, and every year we continue to further elevate this enchanting voyage, with extraordinary experiences at every stage of the journey, accompanied by Egyptologists and storytellers to bring Egypt’s luminous history to life.”
Construction has begun at Massara Shipyard in Egypt and is expected to be completed in Autumn 2025, with the contract being signed by A&K’s Amr Badr, managing director of Arabia and Egypt.
