A-Rosa targets groups market to help agents boost river business

A-Rosa River Cruises has increased its focus on the groups market in the UK to help its agent partners reach a wider pool of clients

As part of the new marketing push, the line has launched an eight-page digital brochure dedicated to the demographic, which highlights the line’s group benefits and range of themed cruises.

Michelle Daniels, sales director at A-Rosa River Cruises UK & Ireland, said the brand has identified groups as a “strong new route to market” and the new brochure for agents is an “important step on our journey”.

“We know from experience that our flexible, relaxed approach works really well with groups and our focus going forward is to grow this area of our business,” Daniels added.

“For [agents] who haven’t done a group booking before, we want to support and encourage them to give it a go as it can be highly lucrative and rewarding.”

She continued: “The earning potential from this market is huge and we are here to provide all the support needed so they can include group business in their sales mix.”

It comes after the brand marked the start of the UEFA Euro 2024 championships with the launch of a football themed competition for the trade.

Agents were encouraged to test their keepie-uppie skills over the coming weeks, with the aim of getting their name on the EU-ROSA 2024 league table.
