Titan travel, river discovery II

Tour operator, Titan Travel, has unveiled its new chartered river cruise ship, MS River Discovery II, for 2021 sailings.

Available to book from today (10 February 2020), the ship will operate a number of Titan River cruises along the Danube in 2021, before completing two full cruising seasons in 2022 and 2023.

Titan Travel managing director, Andy Squirrell, said: “As Titan’s exclusive river cruising product continues to go from strength to strength, we’re delighted to unveil MS River Discovery II as Titan’s new chartered river cruise trip.

“As part of our continued aim to deliver the best river cruises available, MS River Discovery II will provide guests with a more premium offering, complete with spacious lounge areas, as well as our greatest range of cabin options suiting all budgets, including dedicated single cabins.

“We look forward to welcoming guests on board MS River Discovery II along the Danube from 2021.”

Built in 2012, the ship will become Titan’s largest river cruise vessel. The three-deck ship measures 135 metres long and can accommodate 176 passengers across six cabin grades.

Travellers can relax in the ships two lounges or choose to sit on the sun deck or front outdoor seating area to soak up the ever-changing scenery.

The panorama lounge on the middle deck comes complete with a retractable roof and panoramic windows providing an al-fresco atmosphere for sunny days and sweeping landscape views. Passengers looking for some quiet time can retreat to the library, or use the on board gym.

The deck plan comprises of 59 double cabins with french balcony, 12 double cabins with upper windows, 12 deluxe suites measuring 23m2, and one spacious 30mowners suite.

The ship also has eight single cabins with two upper windows, allowing solo travellers to enjoy a river cruise without having to pay a single traveller supplement.

From 2020, all Titan’s chartered river cruises will benefit from the Quietvox system, including GPS-guided commentary and interactive maps, allowing guests to take part in self-guided tours of towns and cities included in the itinerary.

All guests will also receive a Titan branded reusable water bottle that they’ll be able to refill on board to help reduce single-use plastic consumption.

Complete with an on-board lift, guests will be able to access all areas of the ship with ease.

The ship has been launched in Titan’s latest river cruise brochure that showcases all of Titan’s chartered river cruise sailings, including MS Serenade 1, for 2021 departures.
