Titan launches New 2018 River & Ocean Cruise Compendium brochure

Titan's MS Serenade

30 new cruise experiences have been unveiled in Titan’s, brand new 2018 River and Ocean Cruise Compendium brochure.

Showcasing an encyclopedic menu for 2018/19, options include a brand-new collection of week-long day cruises in France; the chance to experience a cruise along the Rhine on Uniworld’s River Beatrice which is being transformed into a Super Ship and a special 40th anniversary cruise on MS Serenade. The choice of no-fly ocean cruises with Fred. Olsen has been greatly enhanced for 2018 and a superb news cruise with Holland America sails through the Panama Canal in Central America.

New barge day-cruising

New to Titan for 2018 is a collection of three different 9-day small barge day-cruising itineraries in France. Blending scenic cruising aboard an intimate barge by day with a return to the same hotel at night these no-fly itineraries offer a glimpse of the pretty villages, vineyards and historic sites of rural France from a new perspective. After breakfast at the hotel each morning, guests board the brand-new day-cruiser Natalia. A light lunch of local specialities is served on the ship each day and most afternoons include an excursion followed by dinner back at the hotel.

Options include the ‘Canals and Rivers of Burgundy’ and ‘Enchanting Waterways of France’ with a stay in the royal city of Fontainbleau.  Prices start from £1,749 per person for the 9-day ‘Landscapes of the Loire’ departing on 20 July 2018. Staying in Magny-Cours, close to the circuit that was once the home of the French F1 Grand Prix, the cruise includes the city of Nevers, Burgundy’s impressive book town of La Charité-sur-Loire, and the wine region and hilltop town of Sancerre. There are also opportunities to walk or cycle along the towpaths. Cost including Eurotunnel or ferry crossing, coach travel, 8-nights hotel accommodation, most meals, local wine onboard with lunch, 7 excursions and visits, the services of a Titan tour manager and Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service*.

SS Beatrice

In spring 2018, Titan in conjunction with Uniworld, will be offering cruises on board the newly transformed River Beatrice, which has been fully refurbished to become the S.S. Beatrice. The extensive bow-to-stern renovation gives the ship a fresh look, with a redesigned lounge and a grand staircase (a signature design element of Uniworld’s Super Ships). The refurbishment will also add new dining venues, plus two new Royal Suites and an additional Owner’s Suite, whilst the ship’s 12 existing suites have a refreshed look. The ship will sail the 10-day ‘Highlights of Eastern Europe’ itinerary from Budapest to Bucharest cruising through Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.  Meeting artists in Romania, sitting down for meals with farmers in Croatia and visiting the little-known Bulgarian hill towns of Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi as well as Vlad the Impaler’s tomb in the Romanian countryside. Prices from £3,199 per person departing 4 April 2018.

40th-anniversary cruise

Titan is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018, and is inviting guests to join a special range of itineraries to celebrate this milestone event. The 5-day ‘40th Anniversary Cruise’ will be a special departure hosted by Titan’s Managing Director, Andy Squirrell. Sailing aboard Titan’s very own chartered MS Serenade 1, the cruise offers the chance to explore the beautiful scenery from Amsterdam to Mainz, visiting icons of historic Europe and spending the evenings enjoying dinner events and live music. Prices start from £999 per person departing on 27 October 2018, including scheduled British Airways direct flights, 4 nights’ all-inclusive cruise on MS Serenade 1, an anniversary present from Titan, special gala dinner and nightly entertainment, two excursions and visits, the services of an experienced Titan tour manager and Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service*. New Panama cruise

Also new for this brochure is the 18-day ‘Discover Central America with a Panama Canal Cruise’ in partnership with Holland America Line. The southernmost region of North America holds a rich mix of people and cultures, terrain and wildlife. This voyage explores the authentic roots of Mexico, and discovers the incredibly varied wildlife in the rainforests of Panama before spending a day transiting the Panama Canal. Then, after spending a day in historic Cartagena, Colombia, the cruise concludes with a day relaxing on the pristine white sands of Holland America Line’s own private island, Half Moon Cay, with opportunities to see protected wildlife and birds. Prices start from £3,299 per person based on 2 April 2018 departure, including scheduled British Airways direct flights, 1 night in a hotel, 15 nights’ cruise on MS Volendam and 1 in flight, the services of the experienced Holland America Line staff on board and local guides in San Diego and Fort Lauderdale/Miami, and Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service*.

Titan believe that the pre-departure experience is one of the most important parts of any holiday, and Titan is the only escorted tour operator to offer free home transfers on every itinerary with no mileage supplement to pay*. Customers in Scotland, Northern England, or the rest of the British Isles can use Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service to fly from their local airport on many itineraries (with direct flights offered from Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Bristol, Dublin, Belfast and Newquay) or take a free connecting flight to London.
