Scenic has appointed Colin Downing as UK general manager with immediate effect.

Downing will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the UK business.

“Colin is a very experienced manager, who has recently been working for us on a number of group projects and I am please to announce his appointment to head up the UK team.” said Anna Wolfsteiner, senior vice president international sales and distribution at Scenic.

He has previously held senior management roles at travel companies including Riviera Travel, The Late Rooms Group, Merlin Entertainment, LEGOLAND and My Travel.

Incumbent managing director Chris Townson has left the business with immediate effect to pursue other interests.
