Book a 2017 St Patrick’s Day Getaway on Saga Pearl II

Saga Pearl II will sail from Dover on March 15 along the coast of England to Dublin for an overnight stay to join in the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Guests will have plenty of time at leisure to enjoy a Guinness in Temple Bar and visit to the Guinness Storehouse as well as a strolling through St Stephen’s Green and window-shopping in Grafton Street.

There will be a choice of optional tours including a visit to the fishing village of Howth and the Howth Abbey Tavern for a performance by the world famous Abbey Tavern singers and musicians exclusively for Saga guests.
Another of the tours visits Powerscourt House and Gardens, at the foot of Great Sugar Loaf Mountain. The gardens were established in the mid-1700s by Daniel Robertson and feature a circular lake flanked by two statues of Pegasus, an Edwardian Japanese garden and a terraced Italian garden.
On leaving Dublin, Saga Pearl II will cross the Irish Sea to sail into Liverpool’s grand waterfront, dominated by ‘The Three Graces’ – the Royal Liver, the Cunard and the Port of Liverpool buildings.

Beatles’ fans will be able to head to The Cavern Club or visit The Beatles Story exhibition at Albert Dock. The City Museum, Sudley Gallery and Liverpool’s branch of the Tate Gallery are also within easy reach while tour options will include Chester and Port Sunlight or a sightseeing tour of iconic Liverpool.

Saga Pearl II will sail back to across the Irish Sea to uncover the heritage of Cobh. There will be tours of the city and Midleton, home to the Jameson Heritage Centre and the whiskey making tradition.
There will be a RIB boat ride to the historic town of Kinsale, passing the Royal Cork Yacht Club, Camden and Carlisle forts, Roaches Point Lighthouse and the last pick-up point of RMS Titanic.
