Royal Caribbean has announced the roll out of its free VOOM* promotion for the trade following a successful trial. VOOM, is the company’s high-speed internet service.

From Friday, November 18 until Monday, November 28, 2016, Royal Caribbean will introduce its free wifi offer across all channels, including travel agent partners, applicable to all 2017 UK, Europe and Dubai sailings of 6 nights and over. The promotion will include one VOOM surf and stream package for one device per stateroom booked for the duration of the holiday.

The offer comes following a six-week trial where the free wifi mechanic was tested via Royal Caribbean’s direct channels. The company says feedback from  the customer call centre and social media channels was  positive.

Ben Bouldin, sales director for UK&I, Royal Caribbean said, ‘’Our research shows that connectivity is an absolute priority for holidaymakers, whether they’ve cruised before or not. People want to be able to share their adventures on social media and stay connected to friends and family whether that be via Facetime, Skype or Snapchat. As such we have made the decision to incorporate free Wi-Fi into our current Royal Caribbean promotion.”

The free wifi trial will run in conjunction with Royal Caribbean’s current promotion, offering holidaymakers booking 2017 European and Dubai sailings by Monday, November 28, a 25% discount off their cruise fare for the first and second guest as well as up to $400 onboard spend per stateroom and reduced deposits from £25 per person.

1. This promotion is applicable to new bookings made between Friday 18th November and Monday 28th November 2016 on selected European & Dubai sailings of 6 nights or more departing between 1st January 2017 and 28th October 2017.
2. Pricing is based on cruise only fares per person based on two people sharing the advertised stateroom (various categories) in GBP / EUR and inclusive of taxes.
3. Guarantee stateroom bookings in Z, Y, XN, X & W categories are excluded from this promotion.

VOOM Surf & Stream Internet Package

4. The VOOM Surf & Stream Internet Wi-Fi Package is applicable to the 1st guest in the stateroom only. The VOOM Surf & Stream Internet Wi-Fi Package will allow you to browse the web, check email, share photos & stream movies & music on 1 device for the duration of your cruise.
5. The up to value of $175 is based on the purchase of internet for one device under the Surf & Stream package when you are onboard for a sailing duration of 14 nights.  Please note Wi-Fi package prices are correct as of 18th November and are subject to change.

General

6. The promotion is not combinable with Travel Agent Rates, Interline Rates, Net Tour Op Rates, Gross Tour Op Rates, Friends & Family, Interline (unless otherwise stated) or any form of Non Revenue price programs such as, but not limited to Seminars at Sea, Perishable Inventory & Complimentary prize winner staterooms.
7. This promotion is combinable with the November 2016 promotion – 25% Saving, up to $400 onboard spend and reduced deposit.

9. VOOM Surf & Stream Internet packages are non-transferrable and guests must comply with the ships terms and conditions of use.  Due to the nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee specific levels of performance for internet access.  Use of Voom internet must not be illegal or infringe the rights of any other person. All internet use must be in accordance with our Internet Terms of Use Policy.
10. This promotion is combinable with Groups benefits such as GAP & Tour conductor benefits if named between 18th November 2016 and 28th November 2016 at prevailing rate.
11. This promotion is applicable to bookings made in EUR and GBP.
12. Any options created prior to the Promotion Period for an eligible sailing will be automatically cancelled. Options may only be allowed until the end of the same day it is held, during this promotion, after this time options will be cancelled.
13. Bookings that are created within the stated campaign period but that subsequently move to either a lower price program and/or non applicable ship & sailing date will not retain the benefits of this promotion.
14. Bookings created prior to this promotion that wish to access the new benefits will have to cancel existing booking and make a new booking. Bookings that are cancelled shall be subject to prevailing cancellation charges.

• The promotion is a saving of 25% from the cruise fare of the first & second guest booked into the stateroom, no other guests within the stateroom will be eligible for the saving. The cruise fare means the fare only, taking into account any other savings already applied. Other add-ons & amenities including, but not limited to, gratuities, air fares, hotels & transfers are not included & will not be reduced as part of the 25% saving promotion.
• Guests booking an Interior or Oceanview stateroom on selected sailings with a duration of 6-9 nights will receive $100 USD onboard spend per stateroom;
