Royal Caribbean International has launched a new agent incentive and training platform, as it celebrates the fifth birthday of its agent scheme, Club Rewards.
The initiatives include:
On-the-go access
Agents will now be able to access their rewards account via a new Mastercard app, launching early 2020. This will mirror the brand’s consumer-facing technology, which offers a seamless guest experience and will enable agents to access their rewards account on the go.
Double holiday spending money
Agents can now enjoy double spending money on their own holidays on Allure of the Seas sailings in Europe and all Caribbean cruises to Perfect Day of seven nights or more. For example, Blue members will now receive £200 spending money, Gold members will receive £400 and Platinum members will receive £600. All holiday spending money is added to members’ Club Rewards accounts and then transferred to their Mastercards.
New training platform
Following feedback from trade partners Royal Caribbean has announced a new training platform called Learn Everything About Royal Now (LEARN) that will use artificial intelligence and intuitive learning.
The platform will offer a bespoke, personalised learning journey tailored to each agent to best accommodate their learning style and habits, delivering information to each agent to best support them in selling a Royal Caribbean holiday. The platform will launch in October, with three bite-sized modules available to agents: We Are Royal; Allure of the Seas; and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Rewards in EurosÂ
Club Rewards members in Ireland will now be able to claim their rewards in Euros, meaning Blue and Gold members can earn up to €10.00 for every booking.
Charity incentiveÂ
Club Rewards members will be given the opportunity to make a donation to charities via their Club Rewards account, with Royal Caribbean matching all contributions. The charities agents can donate to are the Family Holiday Association, Southampton Children’s Hospital, & WWF.
In addition, Royal Caribbean has announced that its fleet of RSM cars is to be rebranded to feature its 2020 European flagship, Allure of the Seas, which will sail from Barcelona.
Agents can also win a cruise on Allure of the Seas for four people, including flights, by taking a picture of the branded vehicle and uploading it to the @RoyalCaribbeanUK Instagram page.
A 30-strong Royal Caribbean team recently hit the road for the company’s annual agency road trip.
The line’s UK & Ireland sales director Martin MacKinnon said at the time: “Our trade partners play an integral role to our company and this is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for their continual support, while informing them of our not-to-be-missed offers for their customers and potential guests.”
