ROL Cruise has donated £8,000 to the Royal British Legion in support of its 2023 Poppy Appeal.

It comes as part of a long-standing support initiative from the independent cruise retailer, where all income raised goes into the Royal British Legion Benevolent Fund to provide support for the Armed Forces community.

This includes serving men and women, veterans, their families and dependants who are in need. Since it started to support the Royal British Legion, ROL Cruise has donated a total of £30,000.

Joint managing director of ROL Cruise Sarah Wikevand said: “At ROL Cruise, we believe in giving back to the community, and this contribution is a testament to our commitment to causes that not only matter to our staff but also resonate with our customers.

“We are delighted to have raised such an incredible sum, which will undoubtedly help towards making a meaningful difference to the charity’s beneficiaries.”

ROL Cruise donation ‘significantly contributes’ to Poppy Appeal

Poppy Appeal manager (Essex) for the Royal British Legion Laura Gibbs visited the agency’s office in Lexden to accept the donation from managing directors Rosie Cairns and Wikevand and to thank the team for its support.

“I am truly delighted to visit the ROL Cruise office to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for their unwavering support over the years,” said Gibbs.

“The generous donation of £8,000 will significantly contribute to our Poppy Appeal, and we are deeply appreciative of ROL Cruise’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of our serving and veteran colleagues, and their families. Together, we continue to make a positive impact in the lives of those who have served our nation selflessly.”
