Alaska, eternally popular with a wide range of cruisers, offers up untouched scenery and an abundance of natural wonders. Adventure awaits in Alaska, with guests able to zipline in Ketchikan or kayak in Juneau and spot wildlife like nowhere else on earth.
Why Holland America Line loves Alaska
After taking travellers to Alaska for 75 years, we’ve come to know this land intimately. It’s spectacular scenery, wildlife and native cultures. We want travel partners (and their clients) to discover the best ways to get to know and love it as we do.
Nothing tops a HAL cruise for the best introduction to Alaska’s ice-age glaciers, Inside Passage ports and marine life, our perfectly-sized ships taking guests closer to every calving glacier, every whale splash, every tranquil inlet.
Travellers can combine their cruise with a stay at our McKinley Chalet Resort in Denali National Park and hike through taiga forests, spot caribou and grizzlies on an included Tundra Wilderness Tour.

Fairbanks
Guests can truly embrace the wonders of the natural world with a cruise stay in Fairbanks, guests can spot the northern lights during aurora season (21 August to 21 April). Alongside mountain ranges, wildlife and peaceful rivers and lakes, this region experiences 24 hours of sunlight for 70 days during the midnight sun season, which lasts from 22 April to 20 August.
