Princess Cruises has announced its first-ever 2021 summer season, sailing to Mexico and the California coast.

The new itineraries will sail round-trip from Los Angeles and be the first of their type for the cruise line.

The new sailings will offer a variety of voyages to Mexico, the Californian coast and wilds of Alaska – raining from seven to 14 day itineraries.

Sailings will take place aboard the cruise line’s MedallionClass ship, Crown Princess.

On sale 7 October, Princess’ summer 2021 season includes 23 exciting departures ranging in length from four to 14 days.

Princess Cruises will also offer stops in San Diego and Monterey, plus an overnight stay in Cabo San Lucas for passengers to enjoy its world-class nightlife.

Princess 2021 summer season will run from May through to October 2021, offering itineraries such as ‘Mexican Riviera’ – a seven-day cruise with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán – and Cabo San Lucas Getaway – a five-day cruise with an overnight stay in the port.

Another highlight is the Classic California Coast itinerary – a seven-day cruise with stops in San Francisco, San Diego, Cataline Islands or Monterey and Ensenada. This itinerary will offer the bucket-list experience of sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge.

A four-day West Coast Getaway with San Diego itinerary is also on offer along with a 14-day Alaska cruise with calls at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Skagway and Sitka.

Princess has also worked hard to develop a new shore excursion programme, in collaboration with award-winning cookbook author and expert on Latin America cuisine, Bill Esparza.

In California, guests can sample local cuisine and partake in culinary shore excursions, while in Mexico guests can experience margarita and tequila tastings and enjoy fresh Mexican cuisine. In Alaska, this includes a Cook my Catch shore experiences.

Tickets for the summer 2021 season will go on sale on 7 October 2020.
