Nat Geo-Lindblad Expeditions to host first fam trip for UK agents
National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has announced plans to host its first-ever fam trip for the UK travel trade
The 10-day Showcase at Sea will take place in the Galapagos Islands from 28 November to 8 December 2025, and will be hosted by Danielle Bates, head of UK sales.
Nine agencies, including Panache Cruises, Mundy Cruising, Latin Routes, Iglu and Fred. Olsen Travel, will join Bates on a 10-day Exploring Galapagos expedition cruise onboard National Geographic Endeavour II.
During the event, agents will have the chance to learn about Lindblad’s 60-year heritage in the Galapagos and join excursions by kayaks, paddleboards, glass-bottom boats and zodiacs.
They will also walk among wildlife such as sea lions and marine iguanas; snorkel with sea lions, turtles and fish in the waters of the Galapagos Marine Reserve; and observe giant Galapagos tortoises.
Furthermore, the group will visit the brand’s entire Galapagos fleet, which doubled in size this year with the addition of National Geographic Delfina and National Geographic Gemini.
Bates said: “My first experience of a National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions cruise was in the Galapagos Islands earlier this year and I can only describe it as one of the most meaningful and transformative travel experiences of my life.
“I truly believe we have a wonderful offering in this part of the world, and I’m thrilled to be sharing it with some key individuals from the UK travel industry as part of my personal mission to establish us as the ‘go-to for Galapagos’ expedition provider.”
The 10-night fam trip includes round-trip air, two nights in Quito and the seven-night expedition on board National Geographic Endeavour II.
It comes after the line revealed its first-ever season of European river cruises. Beginning April 2026, the brand will debut two new eight-day itineraries sailing along the Rhine, including itineraries from Amsterdam to Brussels and Cologne to Basel, aboard the newly built 120-guest Connect.
