MSC Cruises has appointed Suzanne Rowe as its new head of sales Ireland.

Rowe – who will report to director of sales Steve Williams – will manage the line’s regional sales managers in Ireland.

MSC Cruises UK & Ireland MD Antonio Paradiso said: “The cruise industry in Ireland is going from strength to strength and at MSC Cruises, as market leader in the country, we want to lead the way in further expanding distribution by creating engaging content and campaigns that inspire consumers to choose a cruise holiday.

“Suzanne has the expertise across sales, marketing and event management to do this and I look forward to continued success in the Irish market.”

Rowe spent 25 years at the helm of Konnections, an Irish based consultancy firm.

Williams added: “Our commitment to the Irish market remains at the very top of the agenda for MSC Cruises and it is really exciting to find an all-rounder like Suzanne who is experienced in creating long-term strategic plans for an array of clients.

“Suzanne’s skills will be key to MSC Cruises’ development over the next 10 years as we launch a further 14 ships, including MSC Bellissima and MSC Grandiosa in 2019, open Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, MSC Cruises’ private island, and launch a fleet of ultra-luxury ships.”

MSC has also appointed Lisa Burton to the role of regionals sales manager for the Midlands, while Carrie Jordan Dodd will join the team early next month as regional sales manager for the South West & Wales.
