MSC Cruises to sponsor Japanese and Italian F1 Grands Prix

MSC Cruises Italian F1 Grand Prix

MSC Cruises will be the title sponsor of two Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix in 2024, the Japanese Grand Prix and Gran Premio dell’Emilia Romagna held in Imola, Italy.

The cruise line’s brand will be included in the name of the two races next year, in addition to the usual track branding as part of MSC Cruises’ global sponsorship of Formula 1 through to the end of the 2026 season.

The fourth race of the season, the MSC Cruises Japanese Grand Prix, will take place between 5-7 April 2024 at the Suzuka track in Japan and is tipped to be one of the most exciting races of the season.

The Formula 1 MSC Cruises Gran Premio dell’Emilia Romagna 2024 will take place between 17-19 May 2024.

MSC Cruises and F1 ‘share common values’

MSC has been a global partner of Formula 1 since 2022, when the cruise line entered into a multi-year collaboration through to the end of the 2026 World Championship.

This latest expansion in the collaboration between the two brands is in line with the continuing growth of interest in Formula 1 and the growing popularity of cruising.

“The two brands share common values founded around a drive for sustainable change as they seek to build the future of their respective industries and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come,” a spokesperson said.

Last month, the cruise line announced plans to implement a new infrastructure development programme for its private island in the Bahamas.
