MSC Cruises continues restart programme as MSC Meraviglia departs Florida for Caribbean

MSC Meraviglia has departed PortMiami, Florida, as MSC Cruises resumes sailings out of the US.

MSC Meraviglia has departed PortMiami, Florida, as MSC Cruises resumes sailings out of the US.

The ship is sailing a four-night cruise visiting Nassau, the Bahamas and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, where the ship will stay overnight at the line’s private island destination.

On US sailings MSC Cruises is welcoming both vaccinated and not fully vaccinated guests on board, with additional requirements for guests who are not fully vaccinated.

Following a series of three and four-night cruises, MSC Meraviglia will start seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruises from 18 September 2021.

MSC Divina will then become the line’s second ship to return to cruising from the US on 16 September with three, four and seven-night itineraries from Orlando (Port Canaveral) – a new homeport for the line.

Later in the year, MSC Seashore – MSC Cruises’ newest flagship – will arrive at its new homeport in Miami on 18 November, following an inaugural season in the Mediterranean.

MSC’s US restart is part of the line’s global plan to have more than half of the fleet back at sea by the end of this summer, following the line’s initial restart in the Mediterranean in August 2020 and over the past several months the return of more ships across the Med and Northern Europe, the UK, and the Red Sea.
