Marella Cruises, Marella Voyager

Marella Cruises has appointed The Experience Department (ted) as its entertainment supplier for Marella Voyager, launching in June 2023.

The line confirmed that ted has also been re-awarded contracts with Marella Explorer and Marella Explorer 2.

The entertainment programme will include “immersive, actor-led experiences”, a statement said, as well as new arts and crafts classes, themed deck parties, and eight new theatre shows.

Marella Voyager – the fifth ship in the fleet – “will bring a whole range of exciting new venues inspired by Voyager’s spirit of exploration and adventure”, according to the cruise line.

It will feature new dining venues such as Silver Fork, a British-themed speciality restaurant, and The Arts House, a bar with an arts and crafts space, as well as The Kitchens, described as a “theatrical food hall with eight eateries rolled into one”.

Marella Cruises promises ‘excellent entertainment’

Marella Cruises general manager of customer experience Anna Lewis-Laverty said: “We are delighted to be renewing our partnership with ted as the entertainment provider onboard our Explorer ships and extending this to our newest ship to the fleet, Voyager.

“Providing our customers excellent entertainment with plenty of variety is so important to us.

“We know that customers are going to love the offering and we’re very much looking forward to working together.”

Ted CEO Robin Breese-Davies added: “Our shows have created an amazing reputation thanks to our incredible talent, sophisticated technology and AV, and our support teams, all of which is part of delivering amazing experiences to the loyal Marella guests.

“We have a wealth of experience in the cruise industry, and we’re excited to be a growing partner for Marella Cruises at such an exciting time for the business as they expand their fleet.

“We are looking forward to producing specially curated shows, content and activities for the ships.”
