Cruises are now on sale for the inaugural season of Saga’s brand new cruise ship, Spirit of Discovery. Offering the very latest in boutique-style cruising, this purpose-built ship features beautifully designed public rooms, a fantastic choice of world-class restaurants and outstanding amenities including all balcony cabins.
Superb Saga value
Saga has always prided itself on offering cruise customers great value for money. All cruises, including those aboard their state of the art new ship, include everything from a return chauffeur service to the port up to 250 miles each way to all meals, snacks and entertainment, plus a choice of wines and soft drinks with lunch and dinner.
But it doesn’t stop there. Guests on a Saga cruise ship also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, free 24-hour room service and included on-board gratuities, so your customers don’t need to worry about ‘unseen’ costs stacking up. Saga even includes porterage at the port, and with no luggage restrictions (all ships sail from the UK), guests can pack and bring back as much as they like.
Everyone’s invited to the ‘Sailaway’ party, with complimentary drinks as the ship sets sail. And with a free shuttle bus in most ports of call, Saga cruisegoers can explore independently if they choose not to join one of the excellent excursions on offer.
Dining is an integral part of any cruise, and with Saga even speciality dining is included in the fare. East to West on Saga Sapphire is a speciality Asian restaurant, whilst Spirit of Discovery offers Saga’s widest-ever selection of restaurants at sea. East to West is replicated on the brand new ship alongside a world-class seafood restaurant, Coast to Coast, a Grand Dining Room serving authentic flavours from around the world and the Verandah and Grill, where guests can dine in relaxed, refined surroundings either inside or outdoors.
Saga is also introducing a brand new way to experience destinations from 2019. Explore Ashore is an exciting new service led by an on-board team of experts, brimming with local knowledge. Guests will find them at the concierge desk on the ship, ready to help them get the most out of their time on land, whether it’s on a guided shore excursion, arranging a bespoke tour or exploring independently.

Explore Ashore offers a varied programme of shore excursions, but be assured these are more than ‘standard’ excursions. Rather than a tour for thousands, they will show guests the main sights of the destination in a small-group excursion. No one feels rushed or herded around on the tourist trail. It’s far more personal, and memorable too.
Back on board, Saga arranges plenty of activities and entertainment, all free of charge. The daily programme is packed with events from cooking demonstrations to exercise classes, deck barbecues to craft sessions. All guests need to pay for are shore excursions, spa or beauty treatments, gifts and drinks at the bar (unless, of course, the cruise is All Inclusive in which case most of these are included too).
There is also the peace of mind that Saga guarantees no fuel supplements or charges. As an added incentive, they offer savings of up to 35% to early bookers, and their Price Promise means if the price is reduced at a later date, Saga works out the difference and passes the saving back to the guest.
You can’t say fairer than that.
