Feel Free with us, Norwegian urges first-timers

Norwegian Cruise Line has dropped its ‘Like a Norwegian’ brand campaign for a new message urging consumers to Feel Free.

The new identity is designed to persuade people who haven’t cruised that a holiday at sea with Norwegian is not about tradition but instead they will have freedom to do as they wish away from rigid schedules. The ‘Like a Norwegian’ campaign launched in October 2011.

The launch coincides with a Free at Sea promotion giving away either complimentary drinks, speciality dining, internet or on-board spending money to clients booking a cruise of five nights or more before April 10 2016. Customers booking a suite in the Haven, a restricted area for top-paying passengers on Norwegian’s ships, get all four benefits for free.

The cruise line has also launched its 2017 programme in Alaska, where new highlights include a 14-night cruise to the 49th state from San Francisco and two eight-night voyages from Vancouver to Seattle and vice-versa departing in May and September. From £811 per person including flights departing May 5 2017.

In all, Norwegian will have three ships sailing to Alaska in summer 2017. Most cruises are one-week sailing either round-trip from Seattle or between Vancouver and Seward.
