Explora Journeys has announced new appointments to its senior leadership team.
Heike Berdos, formerly hotel director with Azamara, has been appointed general manager of Explora I, the line’s first ship, while Simone Canessa has been named staff captain for the ship.
Antonio Iaccarino, who has been with the MSC Group for 27 years is has been appointed as a chief engineer, as has Salvatore Ciampa.
Explora Journeys creating a ‘vision’

Explora Journeys has also added to its culinary team.
Frederic Godineau, previously with Oceania Cruises, has been named senior executive chef for Explora I, and corporate executive pastry.
Christophe Sapy joins as corporate executive pastry chef, and Jérôme Toumelin as corporate executive chef.
